Practice Information

I work with older youth (14+) and adults healing from symptoms of anxiety and depression, the stressors of daily living, navigating life transitions, and processing trauma related to relationships, family, and childhood. The people who seek me out are often yearning for authentic living and deep connection. They may be in search of their identity or life purpose. Some may be uncovering limiting relational patterns and want to break the cycles that no longer serve them in order to live more fulfilling lives.

As a Registered Social Worker my goal is to sit with folks to explore their challenges and heartache with dignity and respect. I aim to help folks feel heard, seen, and understood as they work through the issues impacting them. I identify as a cisgender-heterosexual female, and I welcome and aim to offer a safe space for LGBTQ2S+ folks, including gender affirming care.

My approach is relationally orientated and has been described as “curious, gentle, and kind”. My empathetic listening, humour, and warm nature is central to my practice. I support folks in reconnecting with their self-compassion, inner wisdom, and boundaries to strengthen their resiliency and transformation.

While I draw on various therapeutic modalities, a somatic-attachment lens strongly influences my practice. I listen to the story of the body to support the full expression of your nervous system. I pay attention to how relationships have formed your perceptions of yourself, others, and the world in the context of the work we are doing together. You can expect therapy to be an embodied experience. This means part of our work together will be incorporating the body (sensations, imagery, gestures, etc.), and slowing down to fully process and integrate what is arising. This will support nervous system regulation and trauma resolution.
