I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a member of the BCACC.  We all can benefit from outside help at certain moments in our lives.  Counselling can help us become who we want to be - more fulfilled and more happy.  I am experienced in working with clients on issues such as: anxiety, ADHD, depression, relationships/divorce, self-esteem and loss/grief.

My own approach to counselling is client-centred so that we can work together in setting counselling priorities/goals. I use a wholistic approach which includes the physcial, mental emotional and the spiritual. A good example of this is the mind-body connection, as our physical health and mental health are closely linked. As an integrative counsellor, I use a variety of therapeutic approaches depending upon the client's needs, that include humanistic, solutions-based, family systems and Mindfulness.  I have lived experience with ADHD and I am experienced in working with clients who have ADHD.  ADHD is not a character flaw.  It is a form of neurodiversity much like dyslexia or autism.  We are all different and so each of us is somewhere on the spectrum. Medication can help some folks, especially in the short-term.  However, therapy - eg. Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy - can help in the long-term with coping strategies re: attention/focus, procrastination, impulsivity, etc.  Mindfulness, in my experience, helps us be more present in the moment, more focused and less distracted.  And it can help us become more self-aware, so that our behavior can become more mindful.

Each journey begins with one step. You will find me to be an empathetic and compassionate counsellor. I work with both individuals and couples. Contact me today for your free 20 minute phone consultation.
