With more than 20 years experience as a psychotherapist, I sometimes lose touch with just how daunting the task of finding your "right" therapist can be.

Just so you know, as registered psychologists and counsellors, we are all competent to practice, yet who is the optimal fit for you?  Two things to consider - does the therapist have experience treating your concerns and do you feel invited to arrange an appointment?

To this end, let me tell you a bit about myself...

I am a registered psychologist with a private practice in Coquitlam.  Since earning my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Simon Fraser University in 1996, I have helped individual adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions and more. 

Through the brain-wise therapy approach I offer, you will discover how to more easily shift uncomfortable physical symptoms and emotions into states of calm and feeling better about yourself.  As you do so, relationships become more heart-centered and satisfying.  

In my view, real change emerges within the safety of the therapeutic relationship.  A "goodness of fit" or attunement with a counsellor is essential to working through the tough stuff.  Along with this foundation, I will help you learn how to transform mind-body states of overwhelm into ease and flow so you're better able to deal with life's challenge...in an empowered way.

An important take-away...as you work through your difficulties, you begin to realize what's right about you!  Emotions, thoughts, and behavioural patterns start aligning.  Change is happening from the inside out...and I am with you every step of the way!

And, lest you think that therapy is always serious, I would like you to know about the healing power of shared laughter.  Even dark times have moments of awe and joy!
