Practice Information
I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Psychotherapist, a published author, and the Founder and Director of Wellspring Counselling & Psychotherapy Inc. I also serve as an Adjunct Professor of Counselling Psychology at UBC, where I help train future therapists. I provide in-person therapy for individuals in Maple Ridge and online counselling across Vancouver, BC and other Canadian provinces through a secure, encrypted platform.
My approach to therapy is integrative, compassionate, and focused on both healing and personal growth. I support clients working through a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, stress, trauma, anger, phobias, and mild to moderate depression. I also work with individuals facing significant life decisions, relationship challenges, emotional exploration, or a desire for greater self-understanding.
In addition to addressing specific symptoms or emotional pain, I help clients cultivate self-esteem, resilience, emotional intelligence, and a deeper sense of clarity and purpose. I believe therapy should not just “fix problems,” but support you in thriving — becoming more grounded, fulfilled, and connected to yourself and others.

In our work together, I aim to create a space that feels safe, respectful, and empowering. My goal is to help you move toward a deeper sense of self-trust and emotional freedom, so you can meet life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence.
Outside of my professional work, I’m a committed father and husband with a passion for my own self-development. I have a long-standing interest in history, philosophy, peace-building, strategy, martial arts, and the art of constructive dialogue — all of which inform the depth and thoughtfulness I bring to therapy.
