Practice Information

Pain can show up and impact us and our relationships in many different ways. I'm here to support you through overwhelming anxiety, sadness, loneliness, and/or difficulties in relationships; past trauma or relational hurts that show up in stressful ways today. Individuals often start therapy because they are wanting something to change and are tired of going at it on their own. But, sometimes therapy can be a scary thing to do, for many reasons like fear of judgment, criticism, or not being used to getting help from others. This is why I strive to co-create an atmosphere of warmth, respect, and non-judgment which, from my experience, means something different to every person I work with. From my relational approach, I work to with you to build a working relationship based in trust where you experience something different and positive in session that then leads to changes in other areas of your life.

Like a flower growing through concrete, we all have the capacity and drive to grow and heal through even the most difficult circumstances. I collaborate with each person to build trust, understand their experiences, what is working, what isn't, and to try new ways of being and relating with self and others. Through our experiential work together, you may experience relief, clarity, and a loosening of old patterns.

In my 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I have learned to prioritize the working relationship that we build together. And now as a counselor, I continue to practice from a place of warmth and understanding for all the ways in which hardship may lead to pain and distress. I am honored to witness the resilience and healing of the people I work through evidence-based practices like person-centered theory, attachment theory, emotion-focused and experiential modalities.

It is a privilege to get to know and understand your whole self, including the parts that may be ignored, pushed down, or avoided because they have felt like too much. Regardless of what you are experiencing, I believe that in our work together, we can achieve the changes you want to see in your life and create movement and meaning in places of stuckness.
