Practice Information

Dr. Eva DeHaas, Registered Psychologist (#2074)

Eva brings warmth, compassion, and self-awareness to the therapy room. She draws from a broad skill set ranging from shorter term, skill based interventions to more in-depth psychodynamic approaches.

Attachment theory lies at the heart of Eva's clinical work. Whether we view ourselves as worthy of love and trust that others will be available and responsive to our needs has a tremendous impact on whether we are able to regulate our feelings and how we navigate our interpersonal relationships. Given that therapy is a fundamentally interpersonal encounter, Eva sees therapy as a collaborative and holistic effort that involves both mind and body. You are invited to play an active role in your self-discovery and healing, and Eva will match the best tools to your needs, coupled with a common sense approach.

Eva obtained her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Simon Fraser University and completed her residency at Foothills Medical Centre and at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary Alberta. Eva has over 20 years experience providing therapy and assessments to individuals, couples and groups.  In addition to private practice, she works in psychiatry at Vancouver General Hospital.
