Practice Information
I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #11135) with over twelve years of experience helping people work through depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges. I've worked in diverse clinical settings — including Fraser Health's mental health services, Family Services of Greater Vancouver, and in my private practice — supporting clients from adolescence through older adulthood. What keeps me engaged in this work is witnessing the real changes people make when they have the right support and a clear path forward.
Who I Work With
You might be dealing with persistent depression or anxiety that won't ease up, carrying the weight of past trauma, or navigating relationship difficulties that leave you feeling stuck. Perhaps you're facing a major life transition—career changes, grief and loss, workplace or school challenges, becoming a parent, or questioning your direction in life. You've likely tried to manage these challenges on your own but keep running into the same patterns. You're looking for more than surface-level coping—you want genuine understanding and practical tools for lasting change.
My Approach
I use an integrative, evidence-informed approach that draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), gestalt, psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, and developmental psychology. I've also completed extensive training in a form of contemporary body-centered therapy, which adds depth to my understanding of how emotion, stress, and adversity (trauma) are experienced. Real change happens when we address your whole experience—your thoughts, emotions, and even how stress and anxiety show up physically. This means our work together might involve exploring your beliefs, shaping your perspective, developing healthier ways of relating to your emotions, and taking meaningful action toward the life you want.
My approach is grounded in both current research and extensive clinical experience. I stay actively engaged in ongoing professional development. This depth of training allows me to work effectively with a wide range of concerns, from everyday struggles with mood and anxiety to more complex trauma (sexual, physical, and emotional abuse) and relationship issues.
What Makes Working Together Different
I believe real change is possible—it can sometimes even come relatively quickly! Often enough, it does take some time and I know how to hang in through sustained and collaborative effort to help my clients create lasting positive change. I bring a grounded, realistic perspective shaped by years of helping hundreds of people navigate difficult terrain. I can help you develop the skills, insight, and the resilience you need to move forward in meaningful ways.
