Ginnie Cramer is a BCACC Registered Clinical Counseller with a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle. Ginnie values each client as an individual and acknowledges his or her unique struggles, strengths, and life path. She holds the conviction that all of us are the experts of our lives and that we all have an innate desire for growth and health. She works with a variety of therapeutic tools which best match clients' individual needs, goals and interests and is primarily influenced by humanistic, body-mind, and narrative therapies. Ginnie brings warmth, compassion and deep respect for her clients to her practice. She believes that her role is to walk beside her clients, providing support and safety while helping them recognize and resist limiting descriptions, beliefs or stories. Collaboratively, she helps clients tap into their own resilience, values and creativity as resources for healing and change.

Ginnie's training and experience and continuing focus includes working with individuals and couples who struggle with depression, anxiety, stress management, trauma, grief, pain management, disordered eating, substance misuse and abuse, and life transitions, including relationship challenges and career exploration.

Ginnie is also a Certified Trauma Sensitive Yoga Instructor and long-time practitioner of yoga and meditation who brings to counselling sessions evidence-based yoga and mindfulness interventions. She offers clients specific body-mind tools to mobilize inner resources to self-regulate emotions during times of stress and emotional distress. With these holistic approaches, Ginnie supports clients to build physical, mental, emotional and spiritual practices to promote lasting health and wellbeing.

Embarking on any process of personal or relationship change takes courage. Ginnie would be honoured to assist you in any way that she can.

Ginnie offers  sliding-scale fee options. Many extended health plans will cover counselling provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
