**EXPANDING PRACTICE; ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS**

Pam received her Ph.D. in Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia and has over 25 years of experience supporting individuals through a variety of life challenges. Her career as a psychologist began when she worked in the Vancouver school system where she took a strong interest in helping individuals with a history of trauma and abuse. Her experiences expanded to include working in numerous counselling settings and assisting adults who endured various life traumas, such as childhood sexual abuse, relationship violence, sexual assault, medical traumas, and institutional abuse.

As a psychologist, Pam provides a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. She assists individuals as they reclaim, or recreate, those aspects of the Self that may have been lost as a result of their traumatic experiences. Pam also incorporates a variety of expressive and experiential modalities, such as art and imagery and provides a safe space for individuals to share those aspects of their story that may be difficult to express in words. In her work, Pam facilitates a process of change and self-exploration. She journeys with individuals as they re-discover their own inner wisdom and knowledge.

Although Pam is most known for her work and research in trauma, she is also well versed in working with individuals confronted with a variety of life issues. Her experiences include supporting individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, complex grief, posttraumatic stress, and general life stressors and transitions.

In addition to her work as a psychologist, Pam is a sessional instructor in the Counselling Psychology department at University of British Columbia. She is a published author of articles on trauma and abuse and was awarded a Post Doctoral Fellowship where she conducted research on childhood sexual abuse, dissociation, and the sexual exploitation of children and youth.
