Practice Information
Welcome!
I seek to work with individuals faced with personal and relational wellness issues that come from challenging life circumstances. I help clients understand their immediate struggles in their context, develop awareness and self-compassion while defining their goals, and support them in engaging in mindfulness practices to protect their mental health.
Clients will have the opportunity to explore their possibilities, and engage in self-reflection and selfcare in order to help them find their own balance in relation to the personal and social pressures of their day-to-day life.
If you experience any of the following, I am here to support you:
- Anxiety and depression
- Grief and loss
- Feeling not good enough
- Lacking motivation
- Feeling overwhelmed or stuck
- Struggling in relationships
- Attachment difficulties
- Struggling with loneliness
- Feeling unheard, unseen, or invalidated
- Struggling with identity
- Going through a transition
- Coping with past trauma
- Struggling with body image
- Difficulty with dependence
With the goal of working alongside individuals, in my practice, I use a collaborative narrative and existentialist approach grounded in social justice values. Guided by clients, I aim to assist, support, and encourage self-discovery and self-acceptance through the exploration and understanding of discourses and the complex dynamics among individuals, communities, and society.
I present as a white, able bodied person, and I identify as queer, cis gender female. My intersectionality shaped my drive to social justice advocacy for women and marginalized groups and individuals. I stand in alliance with BIPOC folx and people living with disabilities. I take oppression to heart and keep myself in check through inviting feedback from clients, peers, and supervisors.
I come to practice humbly and seek to do my best to witness my clients’ stories and struggles in a safe and confidential environment, and to collaborate with my clients in finding their path to healing.
I am deeply respectful and grateful to have the opportunity to live, study, and practice on this wonderful land that ancestrally belongs to the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, while I hold the awareness that I was admitted here by colonizers, and that it is my continuous heartfelt responsibility to honour the people of this land.
