Practice Information
I believe that therapy is about sharing a journey of exploration together not about finding a fix. Together we can look at things from a new perspective. I have a masters degree in counselling (MC) and work as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). I also hold a medical degree and a certificate in reproductive counselling.
My hope is to be with you and whatever is coming up in the therapy space in an authentic way. It matters to me that you feel comfortable, safe enough to be vulnerable, and sense empathy and compassion. My experience as a medical doctor taught me that we all need a place to be heard and truly seen, and this is what drew me to counselling. I understand what it is like to have health concerns and the anxiety or despair that can come from feeling unseen in the medical system. I see you as a human being first, not a diagnosis or statistic, and want to meet you where you are at, making space for you to share your experience without judgment or preconceived ideas.
I grew up in a multicultural society, with a career that has spanned different continents and have worked with patients from rich and diverse cultures. Your unique lived experience matters to me. Because of this, I am flexible in how I work with a focus on approaches that are client-centered and evidence based. I am not here to problem solve your life for you, but want us to be in the moment together. My hope is that you leave your sessions feeling seen and empowered to live life to the fullest.
At this time I am offering virtual sessions online on Friday evenings and Saturdays. Please reach out! I offer a free phone consultation to give us a chance to connect and allow space for you to ask any questions you might have.
