Practice Information
I think the point of counseling is to grow and improve your life through increased self-understanding and skill acquisition. If you need help with connection, communication, emotional regulation, overcoming trauma and living a better life I'll be able to help.
I see many people trying to overcome personal and relational barriers and they're unable to do it alone. With over 25 years experience as clinical counselor I focus on what works to help you understand yourself and train the skills to improve your life. I'm warm, present, active and empathetic. In a short time with me individuals and couples experience breakthroughs. I provide guidance toward greater clarity, healthy boundaries, focus and wisdom by addressing life skills you haven't mastered. Internet rabbit holes won't facilitate change, but I will.
You really don't have to do this alone anymore.
After earning an M.A. I studied progressive short-term therapy in New York City where I began my career in 1991. I have since worked in medical facilities, in men's and feminist mental health, and in private practice in the U.S. and Canada. I use a hybrid model of counseling with coaching and make every session useful for my clients.
People tell me that I am relatable, not passive, very present and put them at ease right away. I do not coddle, and my care is felt immediately. I supervise and train counselors. My patients quickly feel that they are in competent hands, and their goals get met. I have helped many hundreds of people change their life.
I manage my practice in a unique way so I usually have openings within the same week. You can use the self-booking link above to book yourself a free consultation to see how it feels talking with me.
Almost all western Canada employee benefits plan cover me as I am a Registered Clinical Counselor.
I look forward to having the chance to see what I can do to help you.
